Ideally, anyone who eats or drinks at your home should leave a deposit behind, but maybe they need to complete a questionnaire and have a medical examination before being allowed in the loo

Isn't this a problem with almost all aspects of growing? There's air pollution, acid rain, run-off from neighbour's land etc., so very little we use can be guaranteed safe. I do agree it's a potential problem though. If one persons urine really can produce 2.4 tons of tomatoes a year, it can be collected from people who aren't on any potentially harmful drugs, and other people's urine can be used for other purposes.
I have one toilet in my house, connected to a septic tank that isn't big enough to handle the number of people who could be living on site and visiting. I'm not wasting time and money putting in a bigger one, so compost loos are an important part of my plans. I suppose I could have urinals for general use, and separate ones for people to use who aren't taking any drugs. It's a way to make people think about what they do, and take responsibility for their actions, although I'm sure there will be people who think I'm taking the piss

Of course we also need to consider what's in the ash. Definitely no coal, but what about anything else that might go on the fire?
