My wife and I have secured a plot of land in Zambia. We are planning to build and sustain a 'green' school on the banks of the Zambezi River. Integral to our project is a desire to teach young people to live in harmony with their environment and as such permaculture will be at the heart of everything that we do. The school will be designed to suit permaculture whilst embracing some of the principles of earthship living. Our final plans are not set in stone but will be developed with local communities and people with more experience in permaculture than ourselves. (We have just embarked on the PDC having been 'converted' to permaculture in relatively recent times.)
More details of our project can be found at http://www.thembinkosifoundation.com/
We are seeking individuals/groups who want to play a part in this ambitious project. We seek people who wish to send a few months or even years in Zambia helping us to launch our school or people who have done similar and offer us advice. We are currently in the UK but are relocating to Malawi/Zambia in two weeks time. We know we do not have all the answers but we do have a vision that will bear frutition. These are exciting times for us!
